This is so embarassing it's worth posting

And what do I get in those two turns? 5 and 6.
FINAL SCORE - 321 to 175. Pathetic.

Oh well - at least I can make fun of him for being afraid of Daleks as a child. :P~

EDITED TO ADD: I decided this was too funny not to share.
mark_rigby_jones: Oh, also saw a
mark_rigby_jones: YIKES!
(Mark points webcam at curtains. Large bug is on curtains.)
morrigan27: EYEEEEEEWWW
morrigan27: GET IT
morrigan27: WHAT IS THAT?!
(Mark gets kleenex and gets bug)
mark_rigby_jones: Not a roach. Just a largish beetle.
morrigan27: Okay. Damn Rita Skeeter.
(Mark falls off chair laughing, then searches curtains for more bugs.)
morrigan27: No more?
mark_rigby_jones: Doesn't look like it.
morrigan27: Oh good. Did you have the windows open today?
mark_rigby_jones: I did at one point, yes. Is quite warm here.
morrigan27: It's warmer here, nyah
morrigan27: But that's how Rita gets in you know.
mark_rigby_jones: Ha, well she will not discover the source of the GIP!
I feel: Less intelligent than usual

Respect the crueller and tame the donut. Well, nearly.

Either of you - nay, both of you at once! - any time. (OK, "any"'s a lie, but you know what I mean.) leiabelle, wasn't I meant to be playing you and/or byrlakin at some point, too? Literatiparty...
Vicki: Where my heart ishermorrine on May 26th, 2003 06:14 pm (UTC)
Oooh, that'll be fun. Then you can BOTH kick my arse. -.-

No seriously - maybe next weekend if we can all work the times out.
Teesside Snog Monster: gamesjiggery_pokery on May 26th, 2003 06:20 pm (UTC)
I was thinking more in terms of the t00bage-after-next-but-three, or something, on the grounds that this t00bage weekend is looking mighty full already. Game-wise, we have GryffindorTowerOpoly lined up already, plus if the time, mood and company are all willing, I might investigate instigating trying out "I'd Like To...". This t00bage isn't going to be long enough. Heck, Nimbus isn't going to be long enough.

Neither innuendo nor Nintendo intended, just for a change.
Vicki: Where my heart ishermorrine on May 26th, 2003 08:28 pm (UTC)
Well, Literati is played online. Hence the next weekend.

We will be playing Trivial Pursuit for sure at Punt00bage, as Erin and I have deemed it necessary. We also need to try to watch the first Matrix. Both of these things would take place at Mark's flat of course. Not sure where we can play Opoly or "I'd Like to..." but I'm sure we'll figure it out. :>
Teesside Snog Monster: nasalleyjiggery_pokery on May 26th, 2003 08:35 pm (UTC)

I recognise that it is very rude of me to volunteer someone else's flat, but I'm going to do it anyway. Kindly insert boot to my butt as appropriate if/when I misspeak.

I'd've thought that these things would all be ideally situated at Mark's flat on Friday evening - a relatively quiet evening compared to the inevitably rampaging Saturday night. I'm sure that even those of us who intend to remain sober will find some way to rampage on Saturday night. RAMPAGING T00BS! If I do not have something with which to replace this icon from punt!t00bage weekend then I will be most disappointed.

Nintendo intended innuendo. Tongue-twister!
Vicki: Nas Alleyhermorrine on May 26th, 2003 08:55 pm (UTC)
No, that sounds good to me. I'll talk to Mark tomorrow - and Cyg if he's around - and see about proposing that for Friday night, as we will supposedly have fewer people then. Do you know what time you're arriving?

And you know Mark bought a digicam - we must put it to good use!
Teesside Snog Monster: mobius-scarfjiggery_pokery on May 26th, 2003 09:29 pm (UTC)
I do not yet. Must get on it soon, especially to try to book decent travel prices if at all available.

Digicam: Mark's ickle one which he got for twenty-some quid or a different one?

*looks forward to much picture-taking at punt!t00bage*
Zorac: bookszorac on May 27th, 2003 04:13 am (UTC)
Yes, that one - although it's not particularly ickle.

*realises that Scrabble is a serious omission from his board ame collection*
leiabelle: readleiabelle on May 29th, 2003 02:24 am (UTC)
your book icon definitely rules mine
Do you need me to bring my Scrabble game?
Zorac: reunionzorac on May 29th, 2003 03:00 am (UTC)
My book collection rulez.... Muahahahaha
I'll probably try to pick up a copy of Scrabble at the weekend, but failing that it would be much appreciated - I'll let you know if that's the case.
leiabelle: readleiabelle on May 29th, 2003 03:02 am (UTC)
Re: My book collection rulez.... Muahahahaha
Is that *your* book collection?? If so I really am in awe. Then again you have had 6 years more than me in which to collect books.
Zorac: bookszorac on May 29th, 2003 04:20 am (UTC)
Re: My book collection rulez.... Muahahahaha
That is indeed (part of) my book collection - fiction currently runs to 32 shelves (probably around twice what you can see in the icon), alphabetised by author. Non fiction is about 1/4 - 1/3 as much, some shelved and the rest in random piles. And, yes, I do have a database of all 1,000+ books, complete with cover scans. This is what happens when you've been a compulsive book collector for over 20 years...
leiabelle: readleiabelle on May 29th, 2003 04:29 am (UTC)
Re: My book collection rulez.... Muahahahaha
Dear lord. And I thought my two full bookcases were impressive. Your collection is incredible.
Clearly this is a sign that I need to go and buy more books as soon as possible.
leiabelleleiabelle on May 29th, 2003 02:29 am (UTC)

Wahoo, sounds like fun if it happens. I will be down on the Thursday (I think), but staying in a youth hostel so M&M can have their privacy. *wink* Also, I plan to join you in sobriety on Saturday night, so we can have some non-alcoholic rampaging fun.

Will bring my digicam as well to increase picture opportunities. It's about time for a new t00bage icon set. :D

Oooh! Twister!! Now *that* would be entertaining...
Teesside Snog Monster: nasalleyjiggery_pokery on May 29th, 2003 06:44 pm (UTC)
Forget tongue-twisters - think about t00b-twisters!
leiabelle: readleiabelle on May 26th, 2003 06:22 pm (UTC)
Roger that. Sometime when I'm using a connection that *doesn't* have the firewall of d00m.
leiabelle: crappyleiabelle on May 26th, 2003 06:19 pm (UTC)

I understand! I refuse to play with my friend Bryant anymore because he usually doubles my score when he plays poorly. It's much worse when he plays well. My last boyfriend always beat me as well. It's not as though I have a limited vocabulary or anything; I think I just know too many scrabble geniuses.

Maybe the two of us can have a game at Punt!t00bage and not let the boys play. >:D
Vicki: Where my heart ishermorrine on May 26th, 2003 08:29 pm (UTC)
I think we just need to kick their arses at Trivial Pursuit. :> (but if it is skewed towards Brit knowlege I may be toast. Meep!)
Zorac: bookszorac on May 27th, 2003 02:11 am (UTC)
OK, I think I was on something of a roll last night - am not normally that much of a ScarbbleLiterati!genius - much more used to losing horribly to my mother. Oh, and that early screencap misses out the 18-points-with-one-letter play you made (an S, making YAYS and DOS - real English words?)
Vicki: Where my heart ishermorrine on May 27th, 2003 10:13 am (UTC)
18 points hardly compares to 89, you know! There was no way I was ever going to catch up after that. If you could typo on Literati you would be so screwed. :P That's allright - we're just gonna have to have a rematch. And then another. And another. Until I win one. -.-
