Still dying...
The ultimate moodkiller

You're reading erotica to your boyfriend on the phone, and just when you get to the good part...

...your father picks up and says "Oh, you're on the phone?"

And then you laugh for a good 10 minutes.
I feel: hornyhorny

I could point and laugh, but after whinging to my Mum on the phone that it took me two bloody nights to get a 2 1/2 pages story finished, and her being all supportive since "it's a creative process and you can't just expect it to work out on command" (talking about plot) and I had to confess that I was sort of writing erotica that didn't really have plot... well, let's just say I can sort of sympathize. *cringes*

*pets* Hopefully she didn't get too weird on you about it?

Nah. If she'd flip I wouldn't tell her *g* She always had to deal with me being pretty open about what I thought and how I felt. It's not that I want to provoke it's just that that's who I am and I honestly don't feel the need to hide that.

E.g. my dad can be quite the asshole and several years ago we were talking about that. I said that I'd never marry someone like him. And she said that all men have flaws. And I said "Well, I don't need a man. I'll just get a girlfriend."

We do not really talk about it, but recently we were looking through clothes catalogues, and somehow ended up comparing tastes... not in clothes, no, in models *g* Which led my little brother to remark: "You know, you two used to look for clothes and not for girls."

I have the feeling she just has resigned to the fact that I can be a bit unconventional.

Well, at least your mom is pretty understanding about it. My mom is too, which is cool.

*applause* Well, at least you could laugh about it. :-)

Could have been worse. He could have picked the phone up and then just listened in on the two of you. Now that's a scary thought.

Less than two weeks to go now!

*chuckles* What else was there to do BUT laugh?

And luckily the phone was REALLY loud as he picked up, so it was obvious someone else was on the line. I'm fairly sure he didn't hear anything I was saying - it was just the fact that of ALL the time we were on the phone, that was just about the most inopportune moment.

And yes! I know!!! :D!

I don't think I have anything that even compares to that...

Yeah, well, I always seem to get into the weirdest situations. Luckily Mark and I are both the type who find such things hilarious. :)
