It's always better when you know - and I know.
"I Know" by Drake Bell was released yesterday. Although it's not being played here in Chicago yet, I finally got to hear it in its entirety. It's really good, and I have hope.

If you live in any of the areas below, "I Know" has already been added to the rotation at the stations listed. Help out by calling and requesting it!

WHBQ-FM Memphis, TN
WXKB-FM Ft. Myers, FL
WVYB-FM Daytona Beach, FL
WZEE-FM Madison, WI
WCGQ-FM Columbus, GA

If you don't live in one of the above cities, please call your local Top 40/pop/rock station and request it as well!

My company is now sold, and today I had to go through and choose all my benefits for healthcare/vision/dental, 401K, life insurance, etc etc etc - and this company is publically traded, so I can buy discounted stock every quarter. I think I will. Surely the stock will only increase now that they have my company under them as well. I have yet another email address (because the 30-odd I already have both personally and professionally aren't nearly enough), and I had to change my signature to reflect the new company name. Surreal... yes.

Another thing that hit me like a flash of light recently has to do with past relationships. I recently realized - and it is now years and years after the fact - another reason why the relationship in question wouldn't have worked, although it wasn't clear at the time. I suppose the reason this is interesting is that I realized it because I came to discover something about myself that I don't think I'd quite known before, or else I didn't know it was as important as it actually is. And yes, that's horribly vague, but you never know who's reading these things, and I don't want to come off as insulting to some of my exes (although there are other exes which I would cheerfully insult, as they deserve all that and more! What?? You knew I was a bitch). Whether realizing this will be of any help to me in my life or other relationships, who the hell knows.

I bought my winter coat - it's a hooded wool peacoat in black. I would link to the pic, but the website is down, so instead you can see the similar one here - and no, that's NOT the reason I bought that style of coat. I bought it because it's cute. Hrrrumph.

Call your local top 40 station anyway - even if they don't have it added yet, requests can only help!

Shush. It's not as though I had a lot of choice, and two of the choices were peacoats. :P

Drake copy cat!

And I could respond more to the rest of your post, but I think we've discussed some of this and my brain is melted. And I know you know that.

Shut it, you. :P

Some, yeah. This is why it's boring as crap for you to read my entries - you talk to me all day. :P

No! so there, nyah.

Actually, you talk to me.

OMG I have to listen to Z104 to hear Drake's single?? *head goes splodey* Damn, I wish they were pushing it to TripleM or even the light rock station, whatever that is.

Drake doesn't have a MySpace. :/

OOH thank you!! Maybe hermorrine could ask Drake to add me on MySpace?? *bats eyelashes* My name there is MadisonMontiac :)

As fooltheworld said, Drake doesn't have a MySpace. His niece does, the Drake Bell Street Team does, and of course, plenty of fans do, but if you see a MySpace that is claiming to be Drake, I can pretty much guarantee that it's not him.

Forgot to say, that's an awesome song. The Beatles influence is loud and clear. Smart boy :D
Traceyfooltheworld on October 20th, 2006 03:08 am (UTC)
Actually, it looks like he might have one now. Well, not him but it looks to me to be a record label setup to get him some more exposure. Although if you go read the DBMB you will see the conspiracy theory about it, LOL. So anyway, there's a second new song on there - go check it out!

p.s. I like "I Know" better. I am glad they chose to release it as the first single.

This MySpace was set up before the Universal contract was even a glimmer, so unless someone was psychic...

I suspect Robin is trying to get in touch with Drake and/or his management to find out what's going on - I hope we find out soon. IMO, this song definitely should not be out there if it's on the CD. The concentration of effort should be on "I Know" (definitely the better song, no question) right now, so this whole thing seems really fishy to me.

And I dislike that MySpace username immensely, in case you're wondering. -.-

Interesting. Hey, that's actually a good sign that Drake got leaked. Lots of people get leaked nowadays, I didn't think he was popular enough! ;) Makes ya wonder how that happens.

I get you on the name! Maybe if they get reported to Universal for the song, they'll get shut down?

Looks like Robin's sent it on to his management to handle... but I feel ill. :/

I was right. I feel vindicated. LOL I knew it looked too damn good to be a poser.

Yeah, believe me, I'm listening to stations I wouldn't normally - and calling them. It's humiliating. -.-

Been there, done that, though I haven't had to call any humiliating stations ;)
