As close to a real post as you're gonna get.

I keep meaning to do a longer post about various things in my life, but stupid fandom and life things keep getting in the way - which is how I end up doing it on a Saturday night.

First of all, I have to point out my lovely new layout! madeitsimple made the graphic for me and after a lot of playing around, I twisted a layout lauriegilbert had made for me in the past and - here we are! So many, many thanks to the both of you - I'm very pleased with my layout at the moment. *beams*

Also, for all of you Anglophiles: Sticky Toffee Pudding ice cream! It's only available until January, so if you want to try it, get it before then!

I'm currently looking for a winter coat. This peeves me to no end. My goal was to not have to buy a winter coat that would fit! *toddler-stomping-fit-moment* But no, so I'm checking out coats at Lane Bryant because I have a COUPON, you know. I also need to buy more clothing that has long sleeves. This bums me out.

I've found my reading mojo again. I think all the stress made it necessary, actually. Today was another trip to Border's with COUPONS (see a theme here?). I broke down and bought the latest Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, as well as most of the books in the Elemental Masters series by Mercedes Lackey - except of course they didn't have the first one, so I'll try to find that next week. Typical, isn't it? I was supposed to buy a different book series, but they only had two of the books and none were even close to the beginning. Annoying, that.

I also need to buy a new monitor. Mine, a hand-me-down from my brother, has decided to have Cord Issues that result in a lovely pale yellow haze on everything. It hurts my eyes and is annoying as hell, so I expect to be buying a flatscreen next week. Sigh.

Oh, and the purchase of my company was finalized yesterday, so Monday we have meetings up the wazoo to fill in forms aplenty so that we're now legally working for the new company and all this other stuff. Wheee.

I think that's it - oh, there might be some pics tomorrow. You never know.
