I'll get there leaning on some friends I know - the road and the radio.

First of all, a BIG HUGE THANK YOU to quidditchgrrl!!! They look too pretty to eat! I haven't had one yet, but they should last me a couple of weeks. Thank you so much!! Yay for good mail!!

The last few days I've just felt... off. Like I want to be anywhere but here. I want something new, I want change... I want to quit my job, drive across the country and just start a brand new life. I did it before, so maybe that's why I've got the itch again. I've been at my job here for over 3 years, been promoted twice in the department and my head is hitting the ceiling repeatedly now. There are other positions in the company that I could move to, but none of them are open currently (and no guarantees I'd get another position, were I to apply, though I'd say my chances are at least good). But it's not just the job thing - it's just... everything. My entire life. I need a life makeover. I'm hoping that my road trip to Canada in 3 weeks will help that a bit - may slake some of my wanderlust. But, I dunno - the time to leave Chicago again may well be on the horizon. And then again - maybe I'm just in a really weird mood.

In other news, I went up to Wisconsin to visit my sister and the kidlets the other weekend. We went to Build-a-Bear and built animals, which was a lot of fun, and then we had lunch at the mall and watched the kids play in the little playground. Photos were taken and due to my sister's inability to focus a camera, you all almost saw photos of me. You can send thank you notes to her at... haha. I also went to the Disney store and bought a t-shirt. For myself. In a size that I can't remember having seen in... 10 years? I don't even know. And it fits. :D :D :D :D :D *does a little dance*

Tonight I'm going to check out a health club - it sounds like what I want, but of course there's that whole 'what if I do take off for parts unknown?' issue, so I dislike having to make a commitment. I'm a commitmentphobe now! That amuses me greatly.
