We all have a song that somehow stamped our lives, takes us to another place and time...
Well,I heard it today and couldn't help but sing along
cause everytime I hear that song
I go back to the smell of an old gym floor
the taste of salt on a Carolina shore
after graduation to drinking goodbye to friends
and I go back to watching summer fade to fall
growing up too fast and I do recall
wishing time would stop right in its tracks
Everytime I hear that song...
I go back

I think this song hits it right on - everyone DOES have a song (or multiple songs, undoubtedly - I know I have many) that when you hear it, it takes you back. So here's the challenge - what's one of your songs and the memory associated with it? Feel free to post here or direct others to join in - I'm interested in all the possibilities. I'll start off:

"Our Lips Are Sealed" by the Go Gos - I hear that song and I go back to being drunk off my arse and dancing with my former GBF at my favorite gay club in Chicago on 80s night back in the early 90's. We had such fun that night...

So - how about you?

~~~
In other news, I had alcohol last night. I got a bit tipsy and then I got very sleepy. Big lotta nothing, really.
I am currently crushing like a 16-year-old schoolgirl and it's making me want to vomit on my own shoes. Gnar, when do you stop doing this sort of nonsense?!
Lastly, longtimegone and I came up with a foolproof plan to fill the Water Quidditch pool at Lumos with hot guys. However, considering we came up with it at about 3 am, I'm not going to tell you what it is, because yeah, probably not workable. *looks shifty* I can't wait until Lumos...
Hee, this just happened to me--I was at the gym, plodding away on the treadmill, when suddenly my iPod served up "Never Can Say Goodbye" as covered by the Communards. I remember being at an excellent house party in Cleveland abandoning (temporarily) my loser boyfriend, who was high and annoying, to dance with a gay friend who was loads of fun.
*sigh* I miss dancing. The Scholar hates to dance, so I don't get to very often.
