New Bertie Bott's Flavors!
While waiting in the line to drop off TWH packets at Borders, I perused the large display of Bertie Bott's near the registers. NEW FLAVORS! It screamed (albeit not literally) and so, always curious, I picked up a box and looked.

Rotten egg

Beware anyone offering Jelly Bellies this weekend...
I feel: nauseatednauseated

The 'rotten egg' terrifies me. Did you ever have the grass ones? I am not sure I've ever had something so disgusting. And they looked so innocent, like nice green apple.

I once mistook a horseradish one for coconut. I still can't believe I actually swallowed it. :)

I had a VOMIT one by mistake once. I nearly hurled because of it. It was so incredibly horrid.

I do not see why they cannot make strange jelly bean flavours for them that aren't awful. For instance: cheese. You're never going to see a cheese jelly bean, but it's not like people will live in fear of trying it. Other possibilities: tomato, fresh bread, pickle, chicken soup, spaghetti, etc. I would happily try any of those! You could not pay me to eat a rotten egg jelly bean.

Actually in other countries the license for Bertie Bott's is with a company other than Jelly Belly, and they DO have tomato and spaghetti flavors - I got a pack from Australia once, might be the same company for the UK but I'm not sure. And Jelly Belly did buttered toast, which while not the same as fresh bread, is not bad.

Have you tried the Drooble's Best Blowing Gum? I saw that tonight and considered it.

I almost hurled too, the one time I did the "close your eyes and pick" method. All the vomits go straight in the trash now. :)

I thought the grass wasn't half bad, actually. Kinda like collard greens.

Which is why I have never ever had a Bertie Bott's bean.

Some of the flavors are good, but you REALLY have to pay attention to the little guide on the box. Trying the wrong flavor could have most unfortunate results...

I refuse to eat one if I'm not entirely sure what flavour it is because it could be mixed up with another. Which means I generally have like, half the bag remaining when I've picked through and eaten the ones I want.

I go through and pick out the good from the bad as best I can too. Grape Jelly? Good. Dirt? BAD.
