My mom went to see RotS yesterday. In discussing it, she mentioned the crap dialogue happening between Anakin and Padme in all their scenes. I told her that it was partly Lucas' fault, but that the two actors also had all the chemistry of a wet mop. I also mentioned that I thought Anakin and Obi-wan had more chemistry. She agreed. :D AHAHAHAHAHA I SLASHED STAR WARS WITH MY MOTHER!!!

Here is a photo for you. It is not of me, because I'm a tease like that. Deal.

Bear! Bear!

I didn't want to clutter up Heidi's journal with comments, so I came over here. Hope you don't mind! :)

You mentioned that you live in Hoffman Estates. Cool, neighbors! We're moving to Palatine in July. Don't really know much about the area though (we've been living in Chicago and Evanston for the past 7 years).

Not a problem! Hi! :)

It's pretty nice out here, but it'll be a switch if you're used to the city itself. I actually work in Evanston. :) We're moving in September, but I have no idea where at this point - we want to rent a house and have just started looking a bit. The main thing out here is to have a car because you can't get anywhere without one. :)

Are you looking in Evanston? I loved living there; it's just too darn expensive to buy anything. Plus the taxes are pretty high. :(

You're not working at NU are you? I'm a grad student on the Chicago campus. :)

No, not Evanston. Actually, it's a bit up in the air at this point - I currently live with my dad, who's retired, and my younger brother, who's useless, but my dad is considering going back to work. The job he's thinking about is one with the city - it's related to his former profession - and if he were to get it, he'd have to live in Chicago. Soooo... not sure what's going to happen. Our lease at this place is up in Sept, so we have to figure it out by August, really.

No, I don't work for NU - I work for a company (won't say the name in an open post) that is in one of the big office buildings on Church St, so not too far away. :) Of course, I'm not working right now - I had surgery about 5 weeks ago and will actually be going back next Thursday. I do software support - technical and content - for our proprietary products. What're you studying?

I'm working on my Ph.D. in neuroscience. :)

Woah... so are you planning on going into research or on for your MD? I work for the largest healthcare data company in the country, so I know a thing or two about some of the things you're studying. But I suspect I will have to look at you like I look at my best friend, who has a Ph.D. in molecular biology - o_O. Brainacs!!! :D

No MD for me. I spent enough time on my Ph.D. Actually I'm planning on taking some time off, have another baby. :P

What I'd really like to do combine teaching and research, ideally at a small, liberal arts college.

I'm no brainiac, really. :)
