Rating: Typically PG-13 to R, but does contain some NC-17

The Story
The wizarding world is in turmoil. Voldemort's Death Eaters are running
free, terrorizing Muggleborns, half-bloods, and their families.
Minister Fudge struggles to maintain control of the government as Lucius
Malfoy's power increases. At Hogwarts, the animosity between the students
has grown and tensions are high on both sides.

In the fall of 1996, Fred and George Weasley create a device called the
Firelog, used to send messages called Instant Owls (IOs for short),
similar to the Muggle concept of instant messaging. This handy, portable
device is met with immediate popularity, and soon, many people in the
wizarding world are telling each other, "IO me!" Tragically, the Firelog
is the last creation of the Weasley twins. Fred Weasley is killed by
Death Eaters in December 1996 when he encounters three of them
terrorizing a young Muggleborn girl one evening.

In the aftermath of Fred's death, the trio are more determined than
ever to find a way to defeat Voldemort. Desperate to find something,
anything that could help Harry in that task, Hermione begins to research the
legend of the Half Blood Prince, said to be the illegitimate son of
Edward I, whose efforts changed the ways of the wizarding world forever.
She discovers the
existence of a book, the personal journal of the Half Blood Prince,
rumoured to contain the most powerful spells and potions ever created. The
book can only be read by a half-blood, and it may just be Harry's only
hope for saving the world he now calls home.

We are currently entering into Harry's seventh year at Hogwarts.
