Why do only the cold and lonely times seem to last?

Today was basically an exercise in indulgence. I went to the salon and had a pedicure, manicure, hair coloring and cut, which took 5 hours. It was really quite nice. The salon does different types of manicures and pedicures monthly - when I got my first pedicure in February, I think it was, I got the Hot Chocolate pedicure, which in addition to the chocolate-scented mask they put on your feet, meant you got hot chocolate to drink. This month's flavor is Margarita, so I got that for my manicure. Salt and lime scrub, citrus lotion, and yes - a real margarita to drink while I had the color put on my hair. It was very nice to be pampered, and the color looks wonderful and I'm very happy to have my hair cut again - it was getting too heavy. The length is about the same, but she put in more layers. I'm going to try to take some pics tomorrow.

After that, I went over to the mall because I needed to get my perfume, and they were having bonus days, which is the only time to go and buy makeup or perfume. People kept looking at me strangely at the mall, so I really began to wonder if there was something wrong with me. Next I headed to the grocery store, and a woman stopped and told me how much she loved my haircolor, so whatever people were staring at me for, it wasn't that. I dunno.

Finally got home and called my boyfriend, finalizing plans for next week. Due to stupid train strikes in the UK, we are not going up to Scotland now. :( Hopefully things will work out much better for actual t00bage in June - especially considering it couldn't possibly get worse. -.-

Now, I have burned CDs and will start packing. Tomorrow, I will tidy up, do laundry, and run a couple more errands. But no, really, I'm not counting the hours 'til I leave on Wednesday...

Pics and how I spent my day

I have spent more money this weekend than I have spent in a LONG time. I spent a bunch yesterday, but that was all expected and planned. But today was not.

I just bought new tires for my car. -.-

I noticed yesterday that there was a bubble on one of my tires, so I asked my dad to look at it today before I left. He said that meant it was going to blow out at any time. Well, goodie! So after running the couple of errands I needed to do, I went over to the tire place (actually, I went to 2 places, but we won't discuss the first one). There I had to make the tough decision as to how much money I actually wanted to spend on the tires (I decided that as they were all the same age, I might as well get all 4 replaced, especially as they had a sale going on). Went with the ones on sale, plus the extra package where they will replace the tires if anything happens before the tread is gone. Still, did not want to have to spend that money. -.-

But here are some t00by pictures I took outside, as it is absolutely GORGEOUS here today:

    A-ha - I've Been Losing You

This is just too funny not to post...

My brother came into my room to see if I wanted to get something for dinner, looked at my desk and said, "What are Clark and Lex doing?"

I look over at my action figures, which are on top of one of my speakers, and well, the two seem to be in a bit of a compromising position, with Lex on his back and Clark face down on top of Lex, with his head near Lex's groin area. I crack up.

I say - and this really IS the truth, which is why this is so damned funny - "I usually have them standing up, but they aren't very steady, and if the desk shakes at all they fall over, and I hadn't noticed they had."

My brother nods and says, "It really looks like they're doing something else."

I just laugh some more and consider briefly coming out as a slasher, then change my mind. *rolls*
