More about the wonderful weekend!
zorac has already written about the weekend - you can read his account here.

On Friday evening I got to O'Hare and there was the gorgeous zorac, who promptly danced as I pulled up to the curb. We then snogged madly and I'm sure everyone else around thought we were crazy, which is probably not far from accurate. After a quick stop to pick up dinner for me and dessert for both of us, we checked into our hotel. We definitely seemed to have gotten the more rundown room as compared to last year's, and I think this has solidified our preference for Doubletree as our hotel of choice (although Wyndham will also be a contender). Mark brought me lovely things, too! He brought me strange things from Scotland: Edinburgh Rock - a very hard, strangely flavored candy, a bottle of Irin-Bru - a soft drink that is also strangely flavored, and a box of "What's Under Yer Kilt?" which turned out to be vanilla fudge but the box is really funny. It has a pic of a man in a kilt, and you pull that up and the pic is of the guy holding the kilt up with a bar across his privates that says "You should be so lucky!" He also remembered that I wanted some "Honey I Washed the Kids" soap from Lush, which was extremely sweet of him (not to mention sweet-smelling!).

On Saturday we ventured down to the free breakfast buffet, which proved to be rather scary. This is a do-it-yourself buffet with cold cereals, pastries, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, bread, bagels etc for toasting, and wafflemakers. For whatever reason, things were loony that morning with the best incident being the boy who walked up to our table and stared at us until I asked him if he needed something - then he just walked away. Hello, parents? Contrast that with Sunday morning's trip to the buffet - everything working properly and a mom walking around with her child and talking to us when the kid stopped by our table. Anyway, the rest of Saturday was mostly spent watching movies - we saw Aladdin, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (better than expected but wow, talk about things you really should NOT do!), and later in the evening Identity (serious mindfuck that one). We also went out to dinner and had the same meal we'd had the last time we went to that restaurant - excellent burgers. We saw part of SNL and then headed to bed.

On Sunday we checked out of that hotel and then I took zorac to Starbucks and subjected him to an iced hazelnut mocha (he is not a coffee drinker and I wanted him to at least try it), which he decided was okay but not great. We then headed off to the S00per Sekrit which was absolutely amazing. I paid to renew our membership and we were told the new membership card would be ready when we were done. When Mark came out with the new card, he informed me that we'd apparently gotten married - the card has "Morri and Mark Rigby-Jones" on it! We were amused. After that we went to a hotel near the airport and checked in, and soon afterwards it was time to go to dinner. We went to Carlucci's again and once again it was excellent. We then cuddled and watched some TV and headed to bed early.

On Monday we got up very very early and then I dropped Mark off at the airport - we kissed goodbye more quickly than usual because the traffic cop was watching! Hopefully it will be June soon...

Here we are at Carlucci's!

And again!

Now we are in front of a bunch of wine bottles near the front of the restaurant!

This was taken just after I knocked one of the bottles on the floor and nearly had a heart attack! (the bottle didn't break, and they said it happens all the time)

Here we are in the hotel room, attempting to take a photo in the mirror. How silly are we?
Anyone who can make decent icons out of any of these, I would be grateful. :D I just wish we could both manage to smile and look good in the same pic together...

Irn Bru is famously made in Scotland from girders. (Unpronounceable, too!) Technically it is 2 parts per million ferrous citrate or somesuch. The article about it on Wikipedia is quite good.

Yay for taking lots of silly photos, often without the assistance of an external photographer, and hoping they come out well! (Many of yours did. You have a fine smile!) Meg and I did some of that - the results will likely follow at some point fairly soon. (A small number of them are charming - many of the rest are, ahem, forgettable.)

Glad you had a wonderful weekend and here's to very many more!

Dude...SO ADORABLE. Those are some really cute pics. If I have time tomorrow I will make an icon out of one. I think the 4th one would make a precious icon.

I'm so glad you two had a good weekend. <3

I like the last photo. It's like The Angel Gabriel Appears to Mark & Vicki.

So so cute! Thanks for the photos, I may have a go at iconising some of them.

Also Irn Bru is the drink of the Gods (Oh my goodness are my half-Scottish roots showing!) and Edinburgh Rock is lovely if a little sickly in large amounts.

YAY photos! Love the last one.

Icons are easy if you have MS Photo Editor. Just crop and resize until you get a good 100x100 pixel icon!
