touchedSo I finally got to go to the airport and pick up
zorac and was much happier once I had a few kisses. Then we found our hotel and checked in and found an ice bucket with a bottle of water, a small bottle of red wine and 2 fresh-baked cookies - it's good to have a membership with a hotel chain, I definitely recommend it.Saturday we got up and went down to the hotel restaurant to use the free breakfast we got for doing our reservation online (it was only for 1 person, but hey, better than nothing!), then went back to the room and did a mostly silly relationship quiz for a while. We also opened our first gifts!
zorac got me a large stuff die that has things like SMOOCH and HUG on it, and also a very soft and squishy teddy bear holding a heart that says "You're so special!" Awwwww!!! Next we headed down to the pool and hot tub and swam for a while before heading upstairs for a nap. After waking up we had more pressies to open - this time I got to open the small boxes. I think all girls know about getting small boxes. zorac got me an absolutely gorgeous necklace and earrings set - amber and silver in a Celtic design. zorac had never seen before and sadly wasn't nearly as funny as usual. We also opened more gifts - this time I got a pretty red glass heart-shaped candle holder. Sunday we woke up and slowly got our things together. One complaint about this hotel (and the reason we won't be staying there again) - it's too noisy. There was NO soundproofing at all, it seemed, and we could hear people in the rooms around us but even more, we could hear anyone in the hallway. Sunday morning we were treated to hearing small children running up and down the halls while their parents were who-knows-where. We've stayed in a number of hotels over the past year and none of them were like this. Ah well - it was a good deal and nice other than that problem. After checking out, I discovered that my car alarm has somehow gotten screwed up - the light on the dashboard is on constantly and my remote does nothing to it - it won't turn on or off or anything. Wah! I have to take it in to be serviced next week. Anyway, we went to have lunch and had excellent burgers, then headed back to my apartment to watch movies and hang out. Unfort I had not looked for my Aladdin video as I'd planned and it wasn't where I thought it would be, so we watched Anastasia instead and then Shrek when it was on NBC. We also opened our last gifts - I got a heart-shaped box of truffles - yum! After that we had less than an hour until we had to head to the airport, so we snuggled for a bit and then headed to the airport, and I couldn't keep the tears back while driving there and I felt bad because I know I was making
zorac feel bad. We got to the airport and took a long time kissing goodbye, and then I cried my way home. A bit more than 4 weeks til next time...
