>:0!!!!!
Dear Bank,

For the second time in 2 days I have attempted to charge something at a place of business and the card cannot be authorized. After both instances, I have gone directly to one of your branches and been able to withdraw funds via your ATM. So what the merry fuck is up with that? After the first time I thought, Oh, it is but a fluke! A small glitch in the system. But no longer. It is really bloody embarassing when your damn card won't go through, you know? Tomorrow I will be heading over to one of your branches and speaking with one of your representatives in person, and they'd better have a damn good explanation for this bullshit.

Not even a smidgen of love,
Morri

OMG! talk about flukes! I've never been to this site before and read
your message about the bank card and the SAME THING has been happening
to me!! I'm now waiting for card number THREE to be sent to me because the happy people at customer service tell me NOTHING IS WRONG!! SO WHY DOESN'T IT WORK! I'm so f**king sick of feeling like i'm trying to rob a bank everytime i try to use it and it doesn't work. And yet, i'll go down the street and use it somewhere else, and everythings ok. goes through fine. UUUUUGGGHHHH! so much for having an account with 'Bank of the World"

You'd be surprised at the number of "flukes" there actually are. I am assuming this is a debit card or check card, yes? If you have other transactions pending and the funds are being held against your balance until they are processed by the merchants and hard-posted to your account, this can sometimes screw with authorizations, because your available balance, memo balance, etc. are all telling the card different things, and that different amounts are actually available. This makes no sense, but hey. Banks are nonsensical. The ATM at the bank would know instantly, of course, since it is the bank's own system. :-?

Of course, this is a different bank than the one I work at, so things could be different. But to give you an idea of how utterly effed up the entire system can be. . . . :-"
