Good Day
  • Talked to zorac for a while, which was really good
  • Went to 7 apartment complexes and, of course, decided to go with the very LAST one
  • Went to my best friend's house and hung out with her and the baby eating Thai food and watching older movies on TNT
  • Now I need to fill out my application form and then perhaps sleep because I got very little sleep last night and got up very early and did lots of walking and must get up at a reasonable hour tomorrow to bring over applications and deposits for apartment

  • So do you want to SEE IT? Of course you do!

It is a first floor all on one floor apartment - the image shows stairs, but ignore them. My room is the bigger one with the bath attached. Because my bed is larger and I'm older. Nyah. And we could get a dog if we wanted!! I would love to have a puppy. But not right away, of course - we will have to see.

    Sadly, this sounds about right...

    And now, exhaustion takes hold...

    I feel: sleepysleepy

    I love floor plans.

What's the total square footage? It looks enormous. (Yes, I realize I could guesstimate from the measurements provided, but frankly, that is a mathematics challenge I am not up to.)

    When do you move?

I think the total square footage is something like 1140? I didn't make note of it and it's not on the info I have. As long as we're approved and everything, we move in on the 6th of September. :D

The apartment looks great. I note with jealously the fact that you have huge walkin closets, a dishwasher in the kitchen, and laundry facilities inside the apartment. I had those things for the past year in my old place, but no longer. *sighs wistfully*

When I started looking, my main criteria were: W/D in the unit, AC (central preferred), a dishwasher, and the split floorplan where the bedrooms are not next to one another. I didn't even consider anywhere that didn't meet those requirements, because I refuse to live without those things - I did for a long time, so I feel your pain.

That looks like a nice place. W/D, Fireplace, big closets, a nice open look to it. Floorplans are fun. I (being the strange creature that I am) used to look at house floorplans and figure out where I would put things and what the traffic patterns would be if I lived in that house. And still being strange, I've now figured out where I would put things in YOUR apt. :)

*laughs* I understand! I would rather see floorplans than photos of an apartment. You really can't get any idea from just a photo.

Plus photos usually have other peoples' stuff in them to make the apartment look homey (at least around here). I can't get an idea of how the apartment is going to look if other peoples' stuff is in there already. :)

That is a great apartment! I love fireplaces, even though you can't really ever use them in FL except for about an hour a day over a period of maybe 2 weeks during the dead of winter. Even that's just because we're all pansies and can't stand being anywhere under 70o ;) It is also somewhat amusing to note that the square footage for your 2/2 is still more than that of the 4/2 I'm moving into this year. Here's betting my bedroom is something like 7x7 :P
