Are you pondering what I'm pondering?
1) Can someone please explain this to me? Cramps and labor pains are uterine contractions. Orgasms also are uterine contractions. SO WHY DON'T THEY FEEL THE SAME?! I'd be perfectly happy to have orgasmic contractions for 5 days straight every month. Being in agony 5 days straight, not so much with that. Men. have. it. too. easy. >:0!!!

2) Why is it that I'm completely confident about some things and completely insecure about others? How can I be confident about the same thing one day and completely insecure about it the next? Is this just me, or am I due for a stay in St. Mungo's?

I feel: bitchybitchy
I hear: The Cramps! ha ha ha - NOT. >:0!!!

2. It's completely normal. Human nature, I'm afraid. *sigh*

1. I'd be perfectly happy to have orgasmic contractions for 5 days straight every month. I'm so down with that. The best remedy I've discovered thus far is 800mg ibu and a purring hot-water bottle curled up on my abs. *commiserates*

Cramps and labor pains are uterine contractions. Orgasms also are uterine contractions.

I'm not an anatomy genius or anything but I think the sensations related to both sets of contractions are due to hormones and other body chemicals. Also the pain might be coming from, I don't know, squeezing out potential babies or babies.

A heating pad always makes me feel better. :)

As far as insecurities go it's safe to blame hormones again. Men may have it easier but women always have an easy excuse. "It's that time of the month" where "I'm not at my best" because "my vagina is bleeding".

1. I have this horrible feeling that I really ought to know the answer to this question. But I can't remember coming across it in physiology. -.- I will go back and check my textbook and let you know if I find out.

2. *sigh* :( I know what you mean.

I thought orgasms were vaginal contractions? sorry to post all willy-nilly, but I followed a rather convoluted path through that "calcium silicate" of a gal, pottersginny and liked some of your posts.

I am also wrongly amused by fanfic, it is a recent discovery of mine and I've been online since '95. Dunno if you get emails of posts to your nick, so sorry if this is a repost, but have you seen this? It is damn funny.

And can I see your slash? (gee, that might be construed as evil and immoral since I'm a girl)

Cramps
You just hit on a pretty reliable way of easing the cramps though. They can counteract each other--if you can somehow get yourself in the mood to try. I know it sounds strange and almost inappropriate (?) but you should give it a shot. It works for me.

(Sorry for the overshare, but you get my point).
