Argh.
This is just annoying. Thank you, British Airlines, for having a fare sale to London. Thank you for only being able to buy the tickets today. But really, thank you most of all for having all travel have to begin by the end of March when I am already going to London in March. No, really - thank you.

-.-

Wahhhh.

*hugs*

It's the taxes that are the killer with these things. $203+ turns out to be more like $303 including taxes.

I don't actually think that the normal prices are that much different - in the past, I've found GBP 165 returns with BA to the US with BA which have turned into about GBP 220-230 including tax - still not bad as transatlantic flight prices go, but worse enough that it becomes a problem.

Makes you realise how little flight can cost the airlines, though; I know that there have been special offers on transatlantic return flights which have been as low as GBP 175 including taxes for the last two Januarys.

Re:
Yeah, my flight in Nivember was $360 round trip inluding all the fees and taxes (which were a flat $99 on top of the advertised fare). But still. When I returned, I looked up all the flight dates within the next year, and none were half as good. I was just truly lucky to be able to take advantage of one of those limited-time drop-of-a-hat type deals. Sadly, I won't be able to return until i have another job, and have had one for long enough to pay off debts, and once I've got that, I won't be able to take the time.

So I will wah away. :D
