HELP! Blackberry vs Treo!
Okay, so... the free Blackberry thing? Yeah, no. That company is a bunch of LOSERS and their customer service is atrocious and they are NOT getting my business. So.

I have the choice of going with:

1) Cingular - the Treo 680 or the Blackberry 8700c

2) Verizon - the Treo 700p or the Blackberry 8703e

Anyone using any of the above? The Treo 700p would be the most expensive (and I believe is the newest of the lot). What I need: email, instant messaging (any program that will use Yahoo Instant Messenger), web access, phone. I'd think this wouldn't be so freaking difficult, but apparently it is. As I am beyond frustrated, recommendations and suggestions are really really welcome - and yes, it does have to be one of the ones listed (I'm going via a special offer my company has).

Please help!!

Nope, only Cingular, Verizon and Sprint - and Sprint is a last resort. We'll see what happens...

I've been pretty happy with Verizon, myself...
I like the Treo with an integrated pdf reader, that would save me lots of time, but your needs may be different. ;)

And if you were on Verizon you could talk to moi without burning your minutes!

I use Verizon with the Treo 700p. It's a bit pricey, but it does what I need it to. The thing that pushed me towards the Treo was that it allowed me to merge my cell phone and my PDA into a single device, giving me one less gadget that I had to carry around all the time. If you don't specifically need Palm PDA capabilities, you might want to look for a cheaper alternative.

Another thing about the Treo -- it seems to take a bit longer than my previous Verizon devices to pick up the phone carrier when re-entering a service area. This isn't a big deal to me (we're talking an extra 20 seconds or so), but it really bugs some friends of mine.

Okay, thanks. I think I'm leaning towards a Treo of some stripe at this point...
