Briefly, for I am completely exhausted.
OMG, I have barely slept the past two nights and I am soooo tired. So briefly, I will say this:

Drake Bell is very cool, and he has a huge heart. In addition to being willing to do the benefit concert at all, special arrangements were made for kids from Make-a-Wish and Ronald McDonald House. Then, even though he was supposed to be done with autographs by 11 pm, he agreed to stay until everyone in the line had a chance - and the line was wrapped around a regulation-size baseball field. He did recognize me and he was very sweet.

He's signed with a major record label, so I don't expect he's going to be doing these little events for too much longer. It's going to be fun to watch it happen...

I hope Drake keeps his "day job" (Drake & Josh). Major labels are well known for chewing artists up and spitting them out, but not before the artist ends up owing the label a huge chunk of money. So it's good for Drake that he's got separate income from his acting, just in case his debut CD from the major label doesn't sell a million copies.

D&J has already wrapped production on the final few episodes. It would've already ended except that Drake's accident caused production to be halted for months. The eps that will start airing in September are it. He and Josh are signed to star in a major motion picture together, but there are mixed messages as to whether it is a Drake and Josh movie or just a movie they're both starring in. There were also rumors about a new TV pilot, but I haven't found out anything else about that yet.

Agreed. I think he's got a good chance because he's already put out his own CD, plus the other things he's done. He's huge in the market he has (as I've already seen at the two concerts I've been to - it's mostly kids), but he'll have to keep branching out more if he's going to make it. I think he can, if given enough support.
