This really should be a joke, but it isn't.
So I'm driving to work today and I'm almost there when I stop at a stoplight and I hear a horn beep. I look over and there's a guy in an SUV saying "Excuse me" to me. So immediately I think there's something wrong with my tire, or maybe he needs directions. I roll down my window and say "Yes?" and he says "I hope this isn't wrong of me, but I was wondering if I could ask you out on a date." *flabbergasted* Somehow I managed to say "I'm flattered, but no," and he tried a bit more to convince me, but I told him "Thank you, I'm very flattered, but I'm not interested." Because really, I couldn't very well say that the thought of dating anyone right now makes me nauseous, could I?

Maybe someday this will be funny.

Awwwww, see - you are too cute for your own good.

I know all about the ill feeling - five years. I had that for five years. I hope yours is of much shorter duration!
Faster, plebe! I do believe I have the vapours!: Facedesk: Hedwigslytherincesss on September 28th, 2004 05:22 pm (UTC)

I've never heard of someone trying to pick up anyone in that way before. But clearly you are too hot to be out in public even behind the shield of your car :D

Hope the nauseous feeling passes quickly.

It's a weird feeling, isn't it? I had a guy try to pick me up while I was using a pay phone on a busy public street. I was curious of his intentions later and posted a anonymous ad in a weekly paper, which he responded to! I was doubly shocked, but was glad to know his intentions were less than LTR material ;-) I didn't reply nor appear, dressed in a red shirt, as he requested. LOL

You'll heal. Give it time :-) For now, find giggly comfort in knowing that you're hot enough to be picked up in morning traffic.

Give it time but I kinda wish that you'd gotten his number. :D
