Time for a change.
I'm thinking about cutting my hair. Opinions?

Naah... hair grows back. At one point my hair was down to the middle of my back and I cut it to chin length. It really doesn't bother me.

im just a total chicken...the shortest mine has ever been is up to my shoulders....
Are you going to change the color too?

Maybe a different red - I'll see what my colorist thinks, she's excellent.

How long is it right now? If you decide not to cut, you could always color or highlight.

What an excellent pampering idea, hon. (Y) I always feel like a new woman when I do something to my hair!

It's just a bit past my shoulders, and I color it on a regular basis. My usual every-8-weeks appointment is next Saturday, and I had been growing my hair out even longer, but I don't see a reason to do that anymore, so I think I'll cut it to chin-length, about the length in my icon. And maybe a more vibrant red - shall have to see.

BTW, what does (Y) mean anyhow? I've been meaning to ask someone for ages.

(Y) is the emoticon is some chat software (such as MSN messenger) to give thumbs up. :D

I like that hair in your icon! I prefer long hair myself, but that's just because long hair flatters MY face more. And I don't have the guts to cut it.

One hairstyle I had that I really loved was to cut it so it st on my shoulders and had the ends beveled (sp?) so they would flip out just a bit. That way it was long enough to pull into a ponytail, short enough to not be a bother, and had some texture on the ends whether I wore it straight or curly.

My hair is about that length now - but the ponytail thing is annoying and doesn't work very well, at least for my hair. And I would never go really really short - this is the shortest I would do.

*nods*

Well then by all means, go for the chin length. The possibility of a pony tail is a must for me, so that affects all my decisions about my hair. :))

And you mentioned a more vibrant red? Dude, I LOVE red hair. I had mine this really rich brown red for a while. I have to be careful though. I can't do REAL red cause it just doesn't match my coloring. I envy those that can. There is something very special about rich red hair, rather like blondes....

May I humbly suggest waiting two weeks before trying anything too extreme? *blinks flirts looks cute in a please don't hurt me way*

No hurting, but no, I'm not going to wait. I had my hair this short for a while and I prefer it - I was just growing it out for a particular reason, and as that reason is no longer valid, I'm going back to having it the way I want it.
