OMG SO MUCH WITH THE HATE
*KILLS COMPUTER*

For some time now I have been able to view ASP pages on any browser on my computer. You have NO idea how annoying that is til it happens to you. So I went searching to see if I could find a fix. I found something that seemed it might work called IEliminator - it removes all the files associated with IE and you can get rid of it altogether or do a clean install. So I did it.

It didn't work. I bet you're surprised.

Even better, it screwed up a bunch of other stuff so now I'm worse off than I was. >:0!!!!!!!!!

The only thing I can think of to do now is format the hard drive and reinstall Windoze and every bloody other thing, and as I have NO way to back things up I can't do that. I am so screwed. *STABS*

I feel: aggravatedaggravated

While removing IE sounds all nice and anti-Microsoft, it's generally not recommended. I know, not helpful.

I agree that at this point, a clean re-install of windows sounds like a pretty good idea. To make a backup of your data, I would create a second partition on your harddrive and copy everything there. Windows does not touch secondary partitions during install. To do that on a live system, you need a partition manager like PartitionMagic. I can find a copy for you and put it on the server if you want. How much free disk space do you have?

Re:
That would be excellent - thank you!!!! I have 7.39 gigs free on my hard drive at the moment.

Re:
PartitionMagic is on the ftp server in /Tools. It should work if you put anything in the license # field during install.

One thing, though: Please at least make a backup of your essential files, on a floppy if you must. While there shouldn't be any problems, better be safe than sorry.

Also, when you do your backup, remember your emails, favorites/bookmarks and IM logs. Those are easily forgotten. Also make sure you know your passwords that are in the browser's autocomplete.

Uhh.. Yeah. I really hate having to reinstall Windows. It sucks. -.-
Good luck! >:D
