Meh.
This weekend was not great (thanks Dad -.-), but I've gotten most of the grocery shopping and some cleaning and laundry done. Currently, I have a huge headache. I intend to turn on the electric blanket, dig my winter coat out of the closet, and then take some painkillers and go to bed. We have the two new people starting tomorrow - I hope they're nice.

And one last thing: am I the only one who finds the idea of The Cat in the Hat movie frightening as hell?

Well, the vast majority of people who review movies for a living seem to agree with you. :D

An electric blanket and winter coat sounds cozy, at least. Now is the time of year for nesting.

I always found the book scary-- it's about abandonment, for one thing, which I saw as a child being the scariest thing that could happen. And then when I got older and picked up the book again I thought it had a creepy Orwellian vibe to it-- the fish who is in charge seemes a little like a surveilance camera to me and he acts as the voice of the authoritative parent. Then I heard that in the movie everyone has the same job and lives in the same house (which might or might not be accurate, I haven't seen it myself) which only intensifies my "ewwwww, 1984," response to the whole thing.
