The planning and packing continue!
I did the great Wal-Mart trip tonight after work. I needed socks and a hair clip and bandaids and other assorted things. I also got Triscuits and Club crackers for the amazing dairy cheese! >:D< Oh and I got Reese's peanut butter cups because I went and got zorac addicted to them. :)) Can you believe they don't have chocolate and peanut butter candy in the UK? Strange the things that are different. Oh, speaking of which, a reminder to any of you who are bringing temperature-sensitive snacks - do NOT put them in your checked luggage or you will have a mess, as the baggage compartments are typically not temp-controlled.

So tomorrow I will somehow get through the last day of work, then race home and do a last load of laundry and finish packing. Saturday I will go to the podiatrist so he can check the toe (seems fine), then go by the bank, make a very quick trip to the store, get a manicure, call my friend in Orlando who's picking us up at the airport to confirm details, and then go to pick Mark up from the airport. Sunday we will get up bright and early and leave for the OTHER Chicago airport and take a flight out at around 10 that will get us into Orlando about 2 1/2 hours later. We should be at the Swan by 3 or so, and then we're there until the next Monday.

If you need to reach me: Mark is bringing his laptop and we are supposed to have phone time via the hotel, so I should be able to check email once a day. You have to use the main email address or leave a comment here - I will check both of those email addresses. If you think you'll need my cell number, let me know and I'll give it to you, as I will have my phone with me.

Okay, that's all I can think of and I'm tired. Hopefully sleeping will be easier tonight...

starcrossedgirl had me bring her Reese's peanut butter cups in November, and I was equally surprised to learn they didn't have them in Europe. I brought a big bag of mini ones to the nighttime CoS showing and passed them around... everyone was like, "huh? chocolate and peanut?" except a few who'd seen them in other countries. I think a decent number of people liked them, though, since the bag did get finished...

Well, maybe in the untamed, uncivilsed wilds of Oxfordshire, but actually Reese's Cups are freely available in the UK and have been for about five years.

I dunno then. Perhaps they are just not well known in all parts of the country? No clue.
