Bleh?
I know I'm supposed to be excited, but I'm so not. I'm not sure if it's because it's not real yet or because I was so upset yesterday, but more than anything I'm just tired.

After I get off work in 2 more hours I have to go shopping for baby presents as tomorrow is my sister's shower for the twins. I have no idea what to get, so any of you on my list who are mothers, suggestions are welcome. I'm thinking of wussing out and buying something little and then getting some really cute stuff at Disney next month. Eh. I also want to go and pick up my new contacts tonight.

Then I will come home and have to try not to fall asleep, only to go out again at 11:30 and hope I have a book. You see, back eons ago when I went to the local Border's, the woman just put my name on a list - no deposit taken or anything. So now I wonder if I will have a book at all. Wouldn't that be hysterical?

EDITED TO ADD: I've just been interviewed again and will be in the Chicago Tribune's Sunday paper (starting apparently with the combo Sat/Sun one tomorrow afternoon). Go me!

I feel: blahblah

Would it make you feel better if I told you I just updated the author index and made a button for fics with Book 5 spoilers?

I think getting something little now and then some cool Disney stuff later is a good plan. After all it seems like babies can never have too much stuff, and twins - !

If your name is on a list I'll bet they will have a book for you. And you'll probably feel more excited once you have it in hand. *hugs*

Okay, I think I will do that then. I'm really not in a shopping sort of mood, but then, I never am. I think the whole shopping thing was left off my X chromosomes.

Well, I'm also thinking that they simply MUST have a ton of books, regardless. They will want to stock their shelves, won't they? And I could be crazy, as it is the only bookstore in a town of about 45,000 people, but I really don't think there will be a lot of people there. Surely I would know them if they were fandom.

They didn't take a deposit from me, either--because they didn't know how much it cost yet, right? Did they put your name in the computer?

Had to tell you - my parents live in DC and Mom sent me the Wash. Post article, she giggled when I told her I knew the woman quoted. "she and some of her friends started restrictedsection.org"...squeee!

Mwah!

Also -- hmm. Baby shower gifts. I always give the things I remembered needing most. The best thing is the little onesises -- but in sizes 3-6 months. Because it never fails, the day you're running late and have a million things to do...the baby has outgrown the ones you have and my kids lived in those things when they were infants. Also, little mittens to put over their hands were a Godsend. Their nails are sharp as newborns and many like to scrub their faces as they sleep...giving them little cuts.

Hope that helps, babe. See you on the other side of OotP!
